Firstly I just wanted to offer a heartfelt thank you for visiting my website and for your interest in my work. It’s rare that people can say that their job is also their passion, but in my case it’s true. I’m lucky to have spent the last 40 years honing the art of engraving and carving.
Originally based in Durham, England, I spent my early working life as a nurse before setting up my own business making tourist items, clocks and pen stands out of fossilised limestone. Following a 5-year break to start my family, I joined the family business, hand carving, engraving and finishing art designs onto granite headstones. I spent 32 years learning, improving and honing my craft, before moving to Keswick in the beautiful Lake District in 2014.
It is here, in the inspiring surroundings of mountains and lakes, inspired by the love for my dogs Bella and Rosie, that I started my newest venture.
I specialise in engraving and carving, by hand, onto granite. Whether animal portraits or countryside landscapes, I can work with you to come up with the perfect design for your plaque.
